STIGMA (NOUN): A MARK OF SHAME OR DISCREDIT.

In a perfect world, there would be no stigma around mental health. Let’s face it: we’ve all either experienced a mental illness ourselves or know someone close to us that has. There should be no shame in a daily pill or a weekend spent in bed trying to pull it together. We get it – it’s tough out there. But like you, we know it doesn’t define us.

The stigma around mental illness causes people to face these challenges alone and prevents people from reaching out for help. To stand up against stigma means to speak out, stand up, and educate yourself and others about mental health.

Fuck the Stigma provides resources, educational opportunities and creates a community around standing up against mental health stigma so that one day, no person will ever suffer in silence again.
